How could life get any worse? Mason Forsythe rails against the world that he blames for his own misfortunes. His whole existence is one very black comedy; a series of episodes in the life of a homeless derelict who has the Midas touch but in reverse. Everything he tries turns into a horrible mess, usually leaving him taking a ride to Accident and Emergency. The only actual "friends" he has help to enable his misfortunes whenever they can. They upload video recordings of his catastrophes onto You Tube. Mason is as clueless as he is unlucky, careening from one disaster to the next. The Mason Chronicles is a scathing satire on modern life. It pokes fun at just about everything through the eyes of a homeless short-house with what some might describe as arrested development others would probably call it catastrophic stupidity. It is probably the most politically incorrect thing you will read for a while. At some times it is graphic and violent, while at others it serves up cruel slapstick comedy and ridiculous situations that defy logic. It is very much in the tradition of crude, satirical fiction that dates back to Rabelais and his giant characters poking caustic fun at the establishment.
