Ben Webster
'Soulville' is a 1957 album by swing tenor saxophonist Ben Webster, with recordings from a session on which Webster played with the Oscar Peterson Trio. And ending the set with flair, Webster takes over the piano for three somewhat middling yet still impressive stride and boogie-woogie-styled numbers (these are his only piano recordings). Highlights on 'Soul Of Ben Webster' are the great tenor at his best on a beautiful version of "Chelsea Bridge" and "When I Fall in Love".
