The double LP "Stardust" contains a careful selection of Ben Webster recordings from 1964 to 1970. The US jazz scene changed dramatically in the 1960s under the influence of John Coltrane, and Webster found it increasingly difficult to make a living from his music. An offer to play for a month at Ronnie Scott's London jazz club marked a turning point in his career: he settled in Northern Europe and spent the last years of his life there.
