Ruby Andrews
A Chicago based soul singer, Ruby Andrews had her first hit in 1967 with Casanova (Your Playing Days Are Over) which went to # 9 on the R&B chart and was a crossover pop hit as well. Ruby continued to evolve, her powerful voice and standout songs such as "You Made A Believer (Out Of Me)" (number 18 in the R&B charts and number 96 in the pop charts in 1969), "Everybody Saw You" (number 34 in the R&B charts in 1970) and "You Ole Boo You". Presented here is a compilation of her early work with tunes that were recorded between 1967 and 1972. Most of the material here was written by the team of Fred Bridges, Robert Eaton and Richard Knight otherwise known as the Chicago vocal group Brothers Of Soul, with whom Ruby enjoyed a long association. All selections have been newly remastered
