In our journeys, whether we actively seek Him or not, many of us encounter a spiritual presence. This could manifest amidst the serenity of nature, the sanctity of a church, or even the vast expanses of the metaverse. The experience varies from one individual to another. As for pinpointing this divine presence, The Kills seem to hold back. However, when you hear Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince together, there's a hint they might have had a divine encounter. The raw emotion in Alison’s powerful vocals coupled with Jamie's sleek and captivating guitar strains in their sixth album, "God Games," suggests something profound.

Evolving as global icons of rock, The Kills have not only been trendsetters but have also reimagined the essence of rock in this century. Their presence in the modern rock scene is undeniably unique.

Always innovating, Jamie nudged Alison into experimenting with a modest keyboard, adding a new dimension to her creativity. Simultaneously, he ventured into uncharted territories, reducing his reliance on the guitar and leaning more towards composing on the piano. This novel blend of influences marked a fresh sonic direction for the album, a testament to their dynamic synergy.

Interestingly, The Kills chose an ancient church as their recording backdrop. A fitting locale, taking the themes of the album into consideration. With renowned producer Paul Epworth, they embarked on this new chapter.
