Cedell Davis & Herman Alexander

Highway 61 Cedell Davis & Herman Alexander

Highway 61 is a great recording from two different Country Blues artists! Wolf Record´s manager Hannes saw Hermann Alexander playing in downtown Memphis - there exists not a single record by him - except this CD with 11 songs with great versions of Delta Blues Songs, like 'Highway 61' or 'Catfish Blues'. The second artist is CeDell Davis, who lives in Arkansas - he had a special slide style and many songs of his own -  he plays harp too! 'Room 701' or 'Blues for Big Town' are some of his best songs!
