This 4CD set contains many rare sides issued on CD for the first time and some that have never previously been re-released. Leadbelly is an iconic and hugely influential musician. Compiled by Neil Slaven utilising his own, world renowned collection this is 4 Cds of superb Leadbelly that show his story from prison recordings to being lionised by the intelligentsia in Washington D.C. But it's the music that counts and every track is a wonderful example of Leadbelly's unique brand of acoustic blues.
