Kermit Ruffin's has literally come full circle. THROWBACK, Ruffin's first new studio CD in more than 2 1/2 years, finds the New Orleans trumpet master back in an old almost nostalgic neighborhood. For the first time in well over a decade, Kermit reunites with his old band mates, Phil Frazier and the Rebrth Brass Band for a rip-roaring collection of high-energy tunes both old and new.
