Marilyn Monroe
? Quite possibly the most iconic American actress of the 20th Century, MARILYN MONROE is one of a handful of big-name, bill-topping "Hollywood Golden Era" thesps who were greatly underrated as singers, and as a result made very few records.
? Indeed, her recorded legacy is minimal, running to little more than the sides gathered together on this set.
? This compilation draws together twenty-seven sides recorded between 1949 and 1962, mainly from the soundtracks to Ladies Of The Chorus, Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, River Of No Return, There's No Business Like Show Business, The Seven Year Itch, Bus Stop, The Prince And The Showgirl, Some Like It Hot and Let's Make Love.
? Also included are a pair of superb studio recordings, one of which is our title track, plus two magic live performances, closing with Marilyn's most famous singing performance, 'Happy Birthday Mr President', which she famously sang to JFK at Madison Square Garden in May 1962.
