The Last Ship (Expanded) Sting Expanded edition
The Last Ship (Expanded)
Sting
Sting presents a new, expanded edition of his 2013 solo album.
"The Last Ship (Expanded Edition)" includes five brand-new, never-before-heard recordings, bringing the album to a 24-track version. "The Last Ship" is a powerful, conceptual album with deeply personal core themes of community, home and resilience. The album’s songs were written for — and inspired by — a musical of the same name, and are centred on a shipbuilding town in Sting’s native Wallsend in northeast England, where the town must navigate a new reality after the loss of the industry that was the heart of their community.
The new songs on "The Last Ship (Expanded Edition)" are:
- Island of Souls (2025)
- Shipyard (featuring Joe Caffrey, Brian Johnson, and Jo Lawry)
- Ship of State (featuring Renée Fleming)
- If You Ever See Me Talking to a Sailor (featuring Frances McNamee)
- O’Brien’s Hymn
