Band Aid 40 | Do They Know It's Christmas?

"Do They Know It's Christmas?" is the iconic single from the charity supergroup Band Aid, founded in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original recording, a new 12" single and CD single will be released, raising vital funds for the Band Aid Trust.

The single is a Band Aid mini-compilation of sorts, featuring select previous iterations of the popular Christmas single: the original 1984 version and the subsequent Band Aid 20 and Band Aid 30 versions. Additionally, the release features a 2024 Ultimate Mix - an extraordinary new compilation by Trevor Horn, which blends vocals from the many artists who have recorded the song over the decades into one unified whole.

This record therefore now represents an unrivaled selection of the finest voices and greatest musicians in British rock'n'roll history.
