The Alan Parsons Project | Pyramid (2024 Reissue)
The Alan Parsons Project's third album, the extraordinary concept album "Pyramid" (1978) centred around the pyramids of Giza, gets a 2024 super deluxe reissue.
The new limited edition super deluxe box set contains 4 CDs, 1 Blu-ray and 2 LPs + comes with a 12" x 12" 60-page hardcover book offering interviews with Alan Parsons, the Woolfson family and the musicians/lead vocalists as well as full lyrics and commentary on the bonus tracks.
The 4 CDs contain a new 2024 remaster of the original album (by Miles Showell) + 67 bonus tracks, 54 of which are previously unreleased. The bonus tracks include a plethora of session outtakes and Eric Woolfson demos.
The Blu-ray features a Dolby Atmos Mix of the original album (the first ever Alan Parsons Project Atmos mix) + a 5.1 surround sound mix and a new stereo remaster. The 2LP offers a half-speed remastered version of the original album, cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road.
The album is also available separately with 2024 remaster on clear vinyl and as a CD. The CD is expanded with 4 selected bonus tracks.
