Kent

Kent is one of Sweden's most significant rock bands and has built a dedicated fan base both domestically and internationally throughout their career. Formed in 1990, the band has since developed a unique sound that blends melancholic alternative rock with electronic elements and poetic lyrics. Kent is known for their introspective and often somber lyrics that depict both personal emotions and societal themes, making them one of the most beloved Scandinavian bands of all time.

Their musical evolution has been remarkable – from the early albums, where guitar-driven alternative rock dominated, to later releases, where electronic productions played a greater role. With songs like Kärleken väntar, Dom andra and 747, they have created timeless classics that still hold a special place in many listeners. The album Vapen & Ammunition from 2002 became a milestone in the band's career and cemented their status as one of the biggest bands in the Nordic region.

Following their farewell album in 2016, lead singer and songwriter Joakim Berg has released a solo album, which has kept interest in Kent alive among fans. In 2025, Kent will return to the stage and reissue the majority of their album catalog in limited editions on clear vinyl.
