Nemesis

This is the story of a Woman Police Officer, Angela Crossley, and her experiences with Connie Rowden, a young psychic girl who has a vision that enables her to lead the Police to the burial site of a Paedophile Serial killer's young female victims. Seven bodies are recovered from a septic tank deep in the woods, including the little girl the police have been searching for. Unfortunately, Connie suffers a mental collapse as a result of the horrific discovery, and is hospitalised in a psychiatric unit for a number of years. The killer remains at large. When Angie returns from University she is promoted to Detective Sergeant at the young age of twenty-four. The killer from four years earlier has never been apprehended, but the Psychiatrist caring for Connie, a Doctor Paul Simmons, informs Angie that does not mean the killing of children will have stopped The story continues with the intensifying pursuit of a vicious psychopath, whom Connie has terrifying visions of from time to time; something tells her the killer is familiar from somewhere in her past, but her loss of memory prevents her from identifying him. Further children go missing and the story culminates in a nightmarish scene in the cellar of a house where the killer lives, when Connie finally comes face to face with her tormentor. The terrible consequences that follow have a devastating affect upon the lives of everyone involved.
