It is 1873 Victorian England and Jeremy Bartlett, the handsome, dashing and thoroughly self-indulgent heir of the Bartlett fortune now finds that he has squandered the immense inheritance left to him five years earlier. It is left to the last surviving relative and family matriarch, his indomitable Aunt Eugenia, to deal with the aftermath.
