Shadow in the Woods

There is never a good time to investigate a murder. Nevertheless, the timing of this investigation is entirely inappropriate; a vital witness is missing. Oranit, whilst holding a local election, is to host a Polish village. Scarred Jewish Holocaust survivors born in the visiting Polish village, founded Oranit. Oranit's relationship with the neighboring Israeli Arab town, Kfar Kasm are delicate and intricate. The policing of Kfar Kasm is problematic. Oranit and Kfar Kasm are separated by a shadowy wood in which are two corpses epitomize part of their murky past. The search is on for the third, the latest victim. For appearance sakes, everyone wants to pretend and dissimilate. As the hunt for the vital witness proceeds, secrets are uncovered. The root cause seems to be the 1956 Kfar Kasm massacre. This assumption is only partially correct. The origins go back to the Polish woods in whose shadows the Jews hid from the Nazis. Everyone has shadows and secrets. The witness is found, the two corpses are identified, and then two chilling revelations turn everything upside down. The shadows in both woods reveal their hidden, frightening secrets.
