Info 2 x 180g transparent vinyl, full colour inner sleeve, inserted DL card. Navigate between dreamlike electronica, hypnotic ambient and melodic techno. No doubt this is one of key electronic albums of 2012 Despite the many years still ahead of him, Rone has already come a long way, being one of the most acclaimed young French musicians on the electronic scene. His videos have spread all over the World Wide Web with the speed of light and his powerful liveset has been appreciated from Sonar Festival to Panorama Bar. Three years have passed since the release of “Spanish Breakfast” and now his next album, “Tohu-Bohu” (hurly-burly), is coming out 5th November 2012 via InFiné. In the meantime, the French Boy Wonder relocated to Berlin, and fully adopted the peacefulness and laidback attitude of the city. Not so surprisingly, a feverish calm emerges from the ten tracks of the album, which elegantly and consistently navigate between dreamlike electronica, hypnotic ambient and melodic techno. Peering through here and there are also rhythmic elements borrowed from hip-hop, and organic parts from Classical, and High Priest of Antipop Consortium and Gaspar Claus (“Barlande” produced by Bryce Dessner) make two remarkable appearances on the record. The album will be massively promoted on Internet through several videos directed by a promising new generation of directors (Vladimir Mavounia-Kouka, Studio Fünf, Filip Piskorzynski, Dimitri Stankowicz…). “Tohu Bohu” is a representation of my own chaos, which I have harnessed, worked my way through and committed to record.” Admit Rone. No doubt, It will be one of the standout electronic album of the year.
