Flume
20 year old Australian producer Flume got his first taste for producing at age 13 from the most unlikely of places - a music production program he found in a cereal box. Taking a no-holds-barred attitude to music creation Flume takes inspiration from a wide variety of sources and scenes distilling his sound into a melodic bass heavy style of his own. International press has come from tastemaking sources including XLR8R (USA - 8.6/10 review), Lodown Magazine (UK - 8/10 review) & Electronic Beats (Germany). In Australia, Flume has received strong support from youth broadcaster Triple J and performed live extensively with supports for the xx and Totally Enormous Dinosaurs and festivals including Parklife, Splendour in the Grass, Vivid and virtually every other major Australian festival. With the buzz of first single Sleepless still resonating around the world Flume presents his prodigious debut long player - a post-modern masterpiece of aural euphoria comprising works both designed for loud sound systems and detailed listening alike. From soothing waves of deep space arpeggios to showcasing the beauteous talents of vocal collaborators Chet Faker, Moon Holiday and Jezzabell Doran, Flume’s self titled will transcend you into the future. Flume will be touring the UK, Europe and North America in 2013. Check YouTube to get a taste.
