Finally ! The new EP from Gopher. This one is a follow up from a bunch of remixes that Alex had released over the last few last months for AutoKratz, Etienne de Crecy, Light Year, Alb, Pacific & Sovnger. It gives us a good idea musically of what his album with Patrick Devin could be about !! Some of the reactions about these remixes were "amazing" (Boys Noize), "brilliant" (Groove Armada), "Absolutely love it" (David, autoKratz), "Quality !" (Spiller), "Favorite track !" (Reset !), "on adore, ça tue" (Soulwax)… Ok, "Invasion" is electronic music, but above all, that's f… good music ! Vintage synths, harmonies, vocoder and other surprises ! Who are the invaders? If they are as fresh as they seem, then we welcome them with open arms! "Virages" takes us where the mastery of Alex is well known. A track more radical, more oriented towards the dance floor. A funk and dirty bass line that drives until the arrival of a big 303 lead. Mmmmh, yes ! What about the remixers ? Looks like a dream-team. Etienne de Crécy (Pixadelic), radical & efficient as usual, gives us a perfect edit of the Invasion. The hyped French duo The Shoes (Gum) are showing their dark side, their remix is gloomy and gothic, ringing the hells bells, the Invasion becomes sacrid and religious…… Two other duos are invited, the Belgian Mumbai Science (Lektro Luv) delivers us a version where hip-hop beats meet techno in their typical 21th-century-modern-sound, and the Australian remix by Light Year, goes straight to the heart of the matter : let's dance !
