With Alan Parsons as producer Scottish Power Pop band Pilot had their first million seller with the single 'Magic' followed a year later with an even bigger hit single called 'January' (# 1 in both Australia and the United Kingdom). After 12 seven inch singles and 4 Pilot albums David Paton and Ian Bairnson joined Kate Bush in the studio with the recording of her first two albums 'The Kick Inside' and 'Lionheart' and in 1978 Pilot became 'The Alan Parsons Project'.
