Well-known British conductor Carlo Maria Giulini conducts the famed Chicago Symphony Orchestra for this 1971 recording of Mahler's First Symphony. Symphony No. 1 in D major by Gustav Mahler was composed by Mahler between 1887 and 1888. It incorporates music Mahler had composed for previous works. It was also composed while Mahler was second conductor at the Leipzig Opera, Germany This XRCD release contains 4 movements.
