Billy Connolly
Very little introduction is needed for Sir William Connolly, CBE, Scottish stand-up comedian, musician, presenter, actor and artist. Also known, especially in his homeland, by the Scots nickname "The Big Yin" ("The Big One").
Connolly's first trade, in the early 1960s, was as a welder in the Glasgow shipyards, but he gave it up to pursue a career as a folk singer. He first sang in folk rock band The Humblebums alongside friend Gerry Rafferty and Tam Harvey, with whom he stayed until 1974, before beginning singing as a solo artist
Billy Connolly - Live was his first solo album released in 1972, a mixture of comedic songs and short monologues that hinted at what was to follow in later days.
Here we have a wonderful throwback to times long gone, beautifully remastered
