Les Talens Lyriques
Since their creation Les Talens Lyriques have been working at the rediscover of forgotten masterpieces with the label Aparté. After the international success of Bellérophon, les Talens Lyriques have enlightened a treasure of Antoine Dauvergne: Hercules dying. On the stage of the royal academy, Hercules dying followed the last creation of Rameau, Les Paladins. With this dramatic intense piece, Dauvergne was considered as the best successor of the master. Some other, as Mondonville, were looking for more lightness and shining, Dauvergne was claiming for a style more noble and severe. Hercules dying was considered as a music "male and vigourous", with a tone "really pathetic" and an aiming to the "sublime".
