Bourvil is one of the most famous French Actor of the twentieth century. Everyone remembers his performance in movies such as La Traversée de Paris (with Jean Gabin), Les Misérables (with Jean Gabin), Le Miroir à deux faces (with Michèle Morgan), Le Capitan (with Jean Marais), Un drôle de paroissien (with Francis Blanche), Les Grandes Gueules (with Lino Ventura), La Grande Vadrouille (with Louis De Funès), Le Cercle Rouge (with Alain Delon). Bourvil was also a singer whose repertoire is divided between fanciful songs and romantic songs. In both cases, there emanates from his style a sensitivity and a simplicity which gives his recordings a very particular flavor. Bourvil will have imprinted in our memories the image of a simple human being, as modest as talented. His songs are there to testify.
