INVITATION is made up of dynamic Holy Spirit filled christians that have a deep desire to worship the Lord...worship in spirit and in truth. All songs originated from prophetic worship. Meet the members of the band INVITATION. David Franklin Newborne As bass player, David F. brings his unique song writing skills to the group. He paints a soulful and deeply personal picture of Invitation's love for the Lord. David Troy Newborne David T. is the heartbeat of Invitation on the drums. Being the son of David F. gives him a major advantage. You will definitely hear his unique youthful flavor in each piece of music. Ollie Patterson Ollie is the musical mind that translates our ideas into formal musical verbage. A great composer and song writter whose musical talent binds the songs together. Ollie plays Acoustic Guitar, Sax, Clarinet, Flute, Bass...any instrument that makes sweet music. Taryn Newborne Chidebelu-Eze As lead vocalist and writer of most of the vocal melodies and lyrics, Taryn brings the personality of Invitation to the forefront. She considers it a privledge to be able to work with her father, brother and husband. Maduka Chidebelu-Eze Maduka plays the percussion and occassional piano. He is also the 'acting' sound engineer for the group. Maduka's unmiskable smooth voice accompanies his wife's lead vocals. Joshua Reed Josh plays electirc guitar. His riffs are incredibly smooth and appropriate for what God brings in our music. He is currently a contract musician that we pray will soon be a core member of the band. Jim Hettinger Jim plays piano like butter! Smooth but definitive, his chords gel the music together. Jim has no problems with letting God take control of his keyboard. He is also a contract musician but we are also praying that he would someday join the core.
