SHAKESPEARE IN SONG-WILLIAM CLARK The richness and splendor of William Shakespeare's poems has been musically captured in the delightful and original compositions of William Clark, whose voice adds both tenderness and depth to the Bard's immortal words in his hour and a half concerts. He has now released a CD highlighting his work, which is presently getting national air play in the Adult Contemporary market. Formerly a light opera and musical comedy star, Mr. Clark has been thrilling audiences throughout Southern California for 20 years appearing with both Placido Domingo and Frederica von Stade and in Evita, with Florence Lacy. With this rich and full performance background, he is now bringing his musical talents and humor to the sonnets of William Shakespeare, creating contemporary melodies that range from Blues to Country Western and from Jazz to Rock and Roll. His concerts are full of Shakespearean insight and Mr. Clark brings humorously and melodically forth the timeless beauty of William Shakespeare's words. As a former teacher, Mr Clark brings a strong commitment to education and outreach activities making him a favorite with performing arts series, education institutions, and festivals.
