I Was born June 8, 1921, a descendent of Old Joe Clark, who was my Great-Great Great Grandfather, in The Blue Ridge Mountains of Va. I grew up on Irish Creek in the Eastern Part of Rockbridge Co. Va. I Learned most of my Music and songs from my Mother and Father. About 12 years ago my son James and I started playing music on Friday nights in the office of the Sawmill that we ran. We had a great response to this so we have been having music every night since.Our Music is of Old Time Songs of good listening and dancing. I play the Fiddle and Banjo. This CD. Was recorded at the age of 82. In Our Building Clark's Ole Time Music Center, at the sawmill. With the help of our friend Mike Seeger, and band members, Tom Harrison, LaRue Wilson, Richard Humphries, James and myself. I served in World War 2 for 4 yrs. 1942-1946 in The Army. I Ran a Sawmill for 40 Yrs. That's The Reason for the Name of the CD. We have music every Friday night at our Music center. Clark's Ole Time Music Center, 1288 Ridge Road, Raphine Va.
