A Swinging X-Mas With Friends

Sabine Kühlich studied jazz in Amsterdam and New York; she is a passionate composer and swinging interpreter of the Great American Songbook. Brazilian and Cuban music imprint on her work as well as tours and CD productions with jazz legend Sheila Jordan - born 1928! Her "perfect timing" (Barry Harris) and "brilliant music with wonderful lyrics" (Sheila Jordan) can be found on several CD releases, featuring her as a guest as well as frontwoman.

Laia Genc lives and works in Germany; she is part of Cologne's rich music scene and performs on stages throughout Europe and the world, both with own projects and as side-woman. A soulful sound painter, improviser, composer and arranger, she gives many projects a special colour of her very own, combining jazz, free improvisation and a lot of musical charm for an unmistakable sound. Her extended piano techniques give Laia the liberty to exhaustively explore the boundaries between composed structures and improvisational freedom.
