Youth In Revolt

SUPERBAD's Michael Cera discovers a vacation romance in YOUTH IN REVOLT, a teen comedy from CHARLIE BARTLETT's screenwriter, Gustin Nash, and director Miguel Arteta (CHUCK AND BUCK). The film is an adaptation of C. D. Payne's first book in a series of best-selling satirical novels starring Nick Twisp, a sexually charged 14-year-old whose intelligence and hormones get him into all sorts of adventures.

Michael Cera, as nice-guy Nick, takes a masterful turn in a role in not altogether distant from his character in the modern classics, SUPERBAD and JUNO. Along with his trademark, nevertheless brilliant, take on adolescent awkwardness Cera delivers a delightfully edgy performance as the ever so slightly mental Francois, NickÆs dangerous alter ego. YOUTH IN REVOLT shows the potentially funny side of a schizophrenic loon, and Cera is fantastic in a role in contrast to the usual nervy cuteness.
