Crows Zero

Based on the insanely popular manga of the same name, Takashi Miike’s adaptation has taken that work’s depiction of the most intense high-school rivalry ever depicted and has, of course, turned the volume way up. That’s not to say this film is a mindlessly violent gross-out fest; instead, it further displays Miike’s gift for working in almost any genre and confirms that his creative and always mad genius knows no limits.
