A double bill of concerts from the 1998 West Cork Chamber Music Festival at Bantry House. MAGIC IN THE AIR tells the story of Francis Humphrys, a rural cattle farmer with an ambitious dream of staging an international standard music festival on Ireland's southern coast. The programme also includes a series of intimate concerts and masterclasses from the event. The second feature, BANTRY HOUSE MUSIC, sees Marc-Andre Hamelin accompany the Leopold String Trio in Faure's 'Piano Quartet In C Minor, Op 15', and the RTE Vanbrugh Quartet in Dvorak's 'Piano Quintet In A Major, Op 81'.
