Menelik Shabazz
Groundbreaking British drama written and directed by Menelik Shabazz exploring a black woman's questions of racial identity, set amongst the Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove areas of West London. Pat Williams (Cassie McFarlane) has a decent job, a flat and looks forward to settling down with her boyfriend, Del (Victor Romero). Her life begins to spiral out of control, however, after Del loses his job and is arrested for getting into a fight.
As Pat gradually starts to realise that she is simply following the aspirations of a white society, she becomes increasingly drawn into the exploration of her own African heritage.
