The Truth about Cats and Dogs

American comedy in which plucky radio vet Abby (Janeane Garofalo) has her world turned upside down while giving advice on pet care on her weekly phone-in show. When a caller (Ben Chaplin) falls for the sound of her voice, Abby is excited that there might be a chance for romance in her life, but she does not feel confident enough to follow it through. What she does instead is arrange for a date with the interested party using her beautiful friend Noelle (Uma Thurman) as a stand-in, an unwise idea which leads to many romantic complications.
