Collection of five Japanese features directed by Seijun Suzuki. In 'Eight Hours of Terror' (1957) a group of gangsters take a number of commuters hostage after their train is stopped due to damaged tracks. In 'The Sleeping Beast Within' (1960) a businessman runs into trouble when he returns from his latest trip and needs the help of his daughter and her journalist boyfriend to find the truth.

'Smashing the 0-Line' (1960) follows two reporters as they get caught up in an underworld drug ring. In 'Tokyo Knights' (1961) a college student takes over as the leader of his family's organised crime group. Finally, in 'The Man With a Shotgun' (1961) a drifter gets into trouble after arriving in a remote mountain town.
