This classic 19th century opera with comic elements is by Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, with a libretto by Felice Romani. Set in a Basque village, L'ELISIR D'AMORE remains one of the most frequently performed works in the operatic canon. Annabel Arden's 2009 production was staged at the Glyndebourne Opera House, East Sussex, and stars Ekaterina Siurina and Peter Auty.
