Kiss
Glam-rock legends Kiss perform live in this concert at Tokyo's Budokan Stadium in 1988.
“You want the best? You got the best!” Whoever gets these words hurled at, is about
to experience a musical and visual extravaganza delivered by a pair of fi rst-rate
show-offs – Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley – with supporting musicians fl ying
under the fl ag of KISS. Marketing pros of the fi rst order, Kiss have sold more than 75
million records during their career. Blessed with an excellent feel for catchy song arrangements, Simmons/Stanley
created many a timeless masterpiece of rock ’n’ roll. The pair is often listed as one oft the greatest songwriting duos
in rock history alongside Jagger/Richards and Lennon/McCartney.
In 1975, following the release of their album Alive!, Kiss were the biggest act in the US. In the second half of the
80s Kiss released a series of successful albums such as the release of “Crazy Nights” in September 1987 and the
best of- compilation “Smashes, Thrashes & Hits” in November 1988. During the Crazy Nights tour Bruce Kulick
played the keyboard for “Reason to Live”. The rest of the time Gary Corbett played the Keyboards but behind the
stage hidden by a curtain.
