Quarrelsome Moments describes a process where a band decide which tracks to record and release as b-sides, singles or album tracks. Overseen by Ian Broudie, this selection of tracks from across the Lightning Seeds’ career appeared as b-sides from singles across their career.

Amongst the cover versions are tracks by Wire, The Monkees, The Only Ones and Thunderclap Newman, giving an insight to the influences on the band. Most tracks included on this release have not been available on vinyl previously having only appeared on CD singles and additional includes two previously unreleased mixes are early versions of Crowdpleaser and Get It Right.
