Mac Miller | Balloonerism
Many of Malcolm's (Mac) fans are familiar with "Balloonerism", a full studio album that Malcolm created around the release of the masterful mixtape "Faces" in 2014. It's a project that was very important to Mac Miller - so much so , that he commissioned artwork for it, and it was regularly discussed when it should be released, although "GO:OD AM" and the subsequent albums ultimately ended up taking precedence.
The project shows both the breadth of his musical talents and his fearlessness as an artist. Given that unofficial versions of the album have been circulating online for years, and that the release of "Balloonerism" was something Malcolm often expressed was important to him, Mac Miller's label is now choosing to present an official version of the project to the world.
Born during the same creative period when Mac Miller was working on "Watching Movies with the Sound Off", "Delusional Thomas", "Faces" and more, the album represents the creative ambition he had regardless of musical genre.
Mac Miller's “Balloonerism” will be released on CD as well as 2LP (black as well as very limited white vinyl).
