King Krule | Space Heavy
Crafted between 2020 and 2022, with alternating locations in London and Liverpool, Space Heavy gradually took form during Archy Marshall's commutes between these two cities, where he divided his time. As an album born from the literal space between these two places he called home, Archy became captivated by the concept of "the space between" - the ethereal realm haunted by dreams of love, evoking a narrative of lost connections and the relinquishment of people and situations to the whims of the universe. Once the songs were penned by Archy, frequent collaborator and producer Dilip Harris, along with long-time bandmates Ignacio Salvadores (saxophonist), George Bass (drummer), James Wilson (bass guitarist), and Jack Towell (guitarist), worked on bringing the music to life.
The result is a 15-track opus by this musical polymath, delving into the depths of the subterranean sonic world that Archy has meticulously constructed throughout his career as King Krule.
