Pat Metheny | Dream Box

With Dream Box, Pat Metheny presents his most personal album to date. It's an unusual recording for Metheny. Throughout his career, he has always tended to record musical ideas and store them in a folder, then rarely look at them again. Only when he is on the road does he find the time and desire to examine what he has actually recorded and placed in the folder. And lately he has been on the road a lot. Revisiting the recordings again and again, he discovered that they actually formed a coherent whole - or at least the contours of something that could become a whole. Unconsciously, he had reached a goal he had never aimed for.

The 9 songs on Dream Box are his favorites of the many recordings. A lot of the stuff was recorded only once and stored in the secret folder on this drive, so they seem just as fresh and inspiring to Pat Metheny himself, as they will now also do for his many fans.
