Lou Reed - Words & Music May 1965
Words & Music, May 1965 is a new Lou Reed compilation of previously unreleased tracks. The collection is produced in partnership with Laurie Anderson and the Lou Reed Archive. Among the unreleased tracks are the earliest-known recordings of Velvet Underground classics "I'm Waiting for the Man", "Pale Blue Eyes" and "Heroin" + 7 previously unheard Lou Reed compositions. All remastered from the original analog tapes by acclaimed engineer, John Baldwin.
The LP versions are pressed at RTI on black vinyl and very limited yellow vinyl. Both LP and CD include booklet with lyrics, archive photos and liner notes.
CD contain 6 bonus tracks that are not on the LPs, incl. early demos and a cover of the Bob Dylan song "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right".
The deluxe limited, numbered box set contains 2 x 45 RPM LPs, CD and a bonus 7" vinyl. In addition, a 28 page book and an archival reproduction of a letter by Reed to Delmore Schwartz, circa 1964.
