Beth Hart - A Tribute To Led Zeppelin
Two musical giants meet when the woman with the big voice - Beth Hart - goes to war with Led Zeppelin's songs, a band that was also characterized by one of rock history's greatest lead singers in the form of Robert Plant.
It is not a task to be envied by Beth Hart, who has taken on one of the biggest challenges of her career. But it is, of course, a task she manages with bravura. The project started in connection with the recordings for the album War In My Mind (2019), where she sang an impromptu version of "Whole Lotta Love" along the way. Producer Cavallo later asked if she would like to make an entire album with Led Zeppelin interpretations, but the sensible voice in Beth Hart's brain said: "You're crazy if you try to interpret Led Zeppelin."
But when the pandemic hit, she became defiant anyway and thought "you know what, I'm ready - let's do it". 9 fantastic cover versions have come out of this, i.a. of immortal classics like "Stairway To Heaven", "Kashmir", "Black Dog" and of course the aforementioned "Whole Lotta Love".
