There is no guarantee that anything will be better tomorrow, but that there will be a tomorrow yields some comfort. The phrase, "How much worse can 2020 get?" has become hilarious; what was once meant as satire is now an invitation for further misfortune. Everything has become absurd under the auspices of the pandemic: authorities are being challenged, societal structure is being broken down, and I have never been more eager to be alive.
