On The Soul's Edge

If it meant restoring your soul, would you let it break your heart? On the Soul's Edge follows Henry Langston as he takes a soldier's journey of faith and pain. We watch him struggle with the consequences of death and loss, pain and forgiveness, drunkenness and rape, and lastly failure and redemption. While serving in the Marines in a time of war and conflict, Henry meets Silas "Preacher" Travers who throughout the story is revealed to know more about him than Henry would have guessed. It was a traffic accident that killed the love of Henry's life and drove him to enlist and it was Silas' father who had been driving. When his father took his own life out of grief, Silas and his sister, Mallory, were raised in the foster care system where life would take them into the care of Sancy. The woman who would eventually bring them into the church that was at the center of the whole story. The church where Henry would eventually return to deliver one last letter to Silas' niece.
