Hero of Hope

Abandoned by his family, a small boy named DJ runs through the dangerous streets of Green Ridge, Arizona. He is cursed with two black wings on his black and believes it is the reason his family left him. Fortunately, a Pastor takes him in and offers him shelter at a large orphanage, supplies him with food and clothes, and teaches him about God. As a teenager, DJ is happy with his life, though he must do all he can to hide his wings from everyone, including the Pastor. He prays every night for a purpose in life, so he may help others just as he was helped before. One incredible night makes him believe all his prayers have been answered. Thanks to his love of comic books and the teachings from the Bible, he becomes his own superhero, the Guardian Angel, using his wings to help fight crime. With the help of a librarian with a complicated past, he is ready to become the hope to the hopeless. However, becoming a hero comes with many difficulties. Arizona's dangerous gangster and a mad scientist will go to any lengths to make sure DJ's purpose comes to a quick end.
