Abraham Lincoln the Practical Mystic
Francis Grierson
The veneration of Abraham Lincoln as a mystic is not original to the early 20th century but technically began shortly after his death. Modernity largely has smiled upon this topic within the occult, with an eye especially to premonitions and dream interpretation; this work is, while short, deeper in the sense of delving into more of the spiritual miscellania of Lincolns' life. While this book displays an element of Germanophobia (then in vogue, with the Kaiser as Satan incarnate to some peoples' minds), it is quite good as a compilation of opinions and events regarding Lincoln in the religious or more broadly mystical sense.
