El lector

A teenager meets an older woman with whom he begins an affair. Before making love, she asks him to read fragments of Goethe, Schiller, Tolstoy and Dickens. One day she disappears. Years later, the young man is at the trial of five women accused of Nazi crimes and discovers that one of them is his past lover.
