How do Psychopaths Do it?

From the most basic, superficial interactions, to the deepest, most earnest confessions of human emotion, psychopaths are the masters. They know what to say, how to say it, and when to do it. They can take the honest feelings of others and warp them. They can take the good-natured words, actions, and attitudes of 'normal' people... and destroy them.

But how do they do it? Everywhere you look, a psychopath lurks. Some are notorious serial killers, determined to torture the mind and body of the innocent. But others--most others--are not nearly so infamous.

Many psychopaths are masters of business leadership. Many have reached pinnacles of corporate success, disguising their mental illness behind the facade of strong women and alpha males.

Truth be told, psychopaths are nothing like the rest of us. They wear our clothes, our masks, our gestures and our facial expressions. But they are not one of us. They are chameleons, impostors, charlatans. They slide into society, winning us over with their charisma, climbing to positions of power, earning love, lust and trust at every conceivable turn. They are everywhere doing everything--and hellbent on continuing.
