The city of Buenos Aires is a beautiful combination of classic European design and the grandiose allure of Latin American flare. This capital city of Argentina has a lot to offer travelers, and not just because it is the birthplace of the tango. In fact, the tango is merely a part of the trifecta of local passions that many visitors seek out, with steak and wine being equally favored. However, the French design, Italian cuisine, and Spanish nightlife have made this city a medley of culture, fun and flavor. Between romantic restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, Buenos Aires is passionate, exciting, and offers an atmosphere that is not to be missed. This Argentinian capital is not only one of the most exciting cities on the continent, but in the world. Not only is this city an infusion of culture, it is also incredibly generous. There are a wide variety of free activities, allowing travelers to save their funds for one of the many delicious and elaborate dining or drinking experiences the city offers. Additionally, the city is renowned for the local residents who offer free tours, giving sightseers the best perspectives of the city. And most of the city's parks feature free yoga or tai chi classes with welcoming atmospheres, so any one is able to participate. Plus, it is not unusual to encounter an impromptu tango show on the streets, which will often invite bystanders to participate. Straggling between the ethos of both Latin America and Europe, Buenos Aires features Belle Époque architecture, along with tree-lined avenues and cobblestone streets that are filled with adorable cafés and boutiques. Modelled after Paris and Madrid, the city was remodeled in the 20th century. However, public art and graffiti accent the historic buildings, bringing a liveliness and uniqueness to the surroundings. Known for good times, great food, world-class wine, and late nights, visitors should be prepared for the city to come alive each night. Most nights, 1 AM is considered an early kick-off when it comes to Argentinian nightlife. Fortunately, the locals understand the importance of lie-ins and caffeine!
