In 1876, Vincent and Alexis are a young, happily married couple, who have left the safety of Chicago to begin a happy life on a small picturesque ranch. Upon their arrival, they are met by Joe, who is on the run from dark memories. A ruthless Land Baron, through his sons, Mark and Matthew, begins to terrorize the young couple. After Vincent is viciously trampled and left for dead, Alexis hires untested cowhands, Moses, a saloon swamper, Andrea, a beautiful saloon girl, and Morgan, a young cowboy to drive cattle to the ranch, in order to save the ranch. After overcoming the hardships of the trail and arriving back at the Ranch, they are horrified to see that the ranch has been burned to the ground and they are about to face an even greater danger.
